As a Security Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment for our guests and co-workers. This full-time position is based at our Plainridge Park Casino, where the atmosphere is vibrant and fast-paced. You will be responsible for maintaining high visibility throughout the casino and surrounding areas, handling any problem situations that may arise, and ensuring the safety of all patrons and staff. Your role will involve patrolling the parking lots, providing security escorts for monetary transfers, and overseeing customer boarding and disembarking processes. You will also be tasked with checking IDs, monitoring for prohibited items, and assisting customers with various needs, including directions and transportation issues. In addition to these responsibilities, you will assist with the monitoring of gaming activities, including observing the hard count crew during slot drops and securing drop boxes. Your duties will also include maintaining logs of all entry and exit activities in sensitive areas such as the hard count, soft count, and vault. As a dispatcher, you will coordinate the activities of other officers and maintain detailed activity logs. Writing reports for incidents involving law violations or company policy breaches will also be part of your responsibilities, and you may be required to testify in court on behalf of state gaming boards. This position requires a commitment to maintaining a clean and safe work environment, adhering to uniform and grooming standards, and following all regulatory and company policies.
Responsibilities

- Provide security on assigned casino or landing area, maintaining high visibility.
- Handle problem situations and watch for safety hazards.
- Patrol parking lots and provide security escorts for monetary transfers.
- Oversee customer boarding and disembarking, providing crowd control and checking IDs.
- Assist customers with directions, transportation, and other needs.
- Provide special assistance to disabled patrons as necessary.
- Monitor entry and exit from sensitive areas and maintain logs of activities.
- Serve as dispatcher, coordinating officer assignments and maintaining activity logs.
- Write detailed reports for incidents involving law violations or company policy violations.
Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Preferably six months of related experience and/or training.
- Outgoing, energetic, and enthusiastic attitude is essential.
- Comfortable initiating conversations and creating a fun environment for guests.
- Physically mobile with the ability to push, pull, carry, and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as bending, twisting, stooping, and balancing.
