About the position

We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Officer to maintain a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, and visitors. This role requires a proactive approach to security, excellent observational skills, and the ability to respond effectively to various situations. The Security Officer will work closely with law enforcement when necessary and ensure compliance with all safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and patrol assigned areas to prevent and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activity.
• Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, or emergencies, ensuring proper protocols are followed.
• Implement loss prevention strategies to minimize theft or damage to property.
• Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, and observations for record-keeping purposes.
• Enforce rules and regulations while providing excellent customer service to all individuals on-site.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement agencies as needed during incidents or investigations.
• Provide first aid and CPR assistance when required, ensuring the safety of individuals in distress.
• Attend training sessions to stay updated on security techniques, conflict management strategies, and emergency response procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in security or law enforcement are preferred.
• Proven experience in security roles or related fields is advantageous.
• Strong conflict management skills with the ability to de-escalate tense situations effectively.
• Familiarity with surveillance systems (CCTV) and loss prevention techniques is highly desirable.
• Ability to perform first aid and CPR; certification in these areas is a plus.
• Excellent observational skills with attention to detail in identifying potential threats or hazards.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective reporting and interaction with others.
• Must be able to pass background checks as required by company policies.

Nice-to-haves

• A background in military service or law enforcement is beneficial but not mandatory.
