The Security Officer (Healthcare) position at Tarian is a part-time role focused on providing direct security and related public services within a healthcare environment. The officer will act as a visible deterrent to criminal activity, ensuring a safe and secure atmosphere while delivering exceptional customer service. This role is integral to upholding Tarian's commitment to safety and security, supporting the values and culture of the client and community.

Responsibilities

• Act as a highly visible deterrent to criminal activity while maintaining a positive and professional demeanor.
• Provide exceptional customer service while maintaining a safe and secure work environment.
• Notify supervisors and on-site client staff of any irregularities, suspicious activities, security breaches, and safety hazards.
• Write and submit standardized reports that are prompt, professional, and accurate relative to incidents.
• Submit reports of daily surveillance activity and important occurrences.
• Patrol and observe interior and exterior areas of client properties in person or via surveillance systems to identify suspicious or unusual activity and investigate as needed.
• Respond to emergency situations according to Tarian and client policies & procedures.
• Coordinate and assist first responder response to the client site and assist first responders while they are on site.
• Apply policies and procedures appropriately based on existing circumstances.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must be up to date on required immunizations.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or a foreign citizen authorized to legally work in the United States.
• Must be flexible and able to work traditional and nontraditional work hours as determined by events or circumstances.
• Excellent attendance and punctuality are required.
• Ability to work independently in a dynamic environment and follow directions from Tarian and client staff consistently.
• Energetic and focused personality with the ability to handle and prioritize multiple assignments and manage deadlines effectively.
• Professional, articulate, and able to use good independent judgment and discretion with Tarian team members, clients, and all persons encountered on client sites.
• Ability to write effective and concise reports in Tarian's mobile reporting tool.
• Ability to assess and evaluate situations effectively and identify critical issues quickly and accurately.
