Responsibilities

• Provide and maintain safety and security for all patients, visitors, and staff members of the hospital.
• Respond to security incidents and emergencies as they arise.
• Monitor and patrol the hospital premises to deter and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activity.
• Enforce hospital policies and procedures regarding security and safety.
• Assist in the physical restraint of individuals when necessary, following proper protocols.

Requirements

• One year experience as an on-site Security Officer preferred.
• Knowledge of general security functions and legal limitations.
• Demonstrates good verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Basic skills in physical restraint and self-defense.
• Current CA Guard card required.
• Current BLS for healthcare providers card or within 30 days of hire.
• Must complete CPI training within 30 days of hire.
