About the position
Highly skilled Security Professional. Assigned to a fixed post or performs preventive patrol in an assigned area on foot.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive patrol in an assigned area.
- Respond to unusual or emergency situations using appropriate escalation of force level.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
- Handle multiple tasks concurrently.
- Accurately perform routine data entry into a computer.
- Make accurate basic mathematical calculations.
- Post and keep legible records.
- Work overtime and all shifts as needed.
Requirements
- High School diploma or G.E.D. certificate.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Security, Military, Emergency Management, Law Enforcement, or equivalent.
- Successful completion of a tactical handgun or rifle course is preferred.
- Attendance to Advanced Law Enforcement Rapid Response Training is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Security Operations policy and procedures.
- Successful completion of employment background check and medical screening.
- Proof of completion of the Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory test or equivalent.
- Ability to read and write the English language.
- Valid driver license and satisfactory driving record.
- Ability to meet all applicable state licensing requirements for security officers.
