About The Position

The Security Officer position at Publix involves enforcing security policies and procedures, ensuring safety and loss control within the facility. Requirements

• At least 20 years of age.
• Have a valid driver's license.
• Able to withstand walking and standing for long periods of time.
• Able to work any shift, including days, nights, late nights, early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Able to perform mathematical computations.
• Excellent telephone communication skills.
• Able to use a two-way radio.
• Verifiable satisfactory job performance record.
• Able to work well with others and be a team member.

Responsibilities

• Enforce all Publix security policies and procedures, detaining and questioning persons as required.
• Work with facility management in matters of safety, security, and loss control.
• Maintain strict control of property access, material and truck traffic.
• Observe persons and property on grounds and visitor control.
• Complete necessary logs and incident reports.
• Complete other security duties as assigned.
