Security Officer (Unarmed) - Jupiter Area - PART TIME ONLY ** URGENT **

About the position

We are seeking highly trained, professional security guards to protect our premises, assets, and personnel in the Jupiter area. This part-time position requires a commitment to maintaining a visible presence, preventing illegal or inappropriate actions, and effectively managing security risks. The role is crucial in ensuring the safety and security of company property and personnel, and it involves monitoring for signs of crime or disorder, investigating disturbances, and removing violators as necessary. Security officers will document and report all incidents in detail and patrol the building and perimeter, both interior and exterior, either randomly or regularly in 30-minute increments. Additionally, providing crowd control when needed is an essential part of the job. Weekend availability is mandatory, particularly on Sundays, and the expected hours will not exceed 30 per week, with shifts primarily in the evening during weekdays.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety and security of company property and personnel.
• Monitor for signs of crime or disorder, investigate disturbances.
• Remove violators as necessary.

• Provide crowd control when needed.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a security guard or in a relevant position (minimum 2 years).
• Proficiency in operating security detection systems and emergency equipment.
• Strong knowledge of public safety and security procedures.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to professionalism and integrity.
• Possess a current Florida Class D License (Unarmed Security Guard License) or equivalent experience.

Nice-to-haves

• Completion of a certified Law Enforcement or Corrections academy Certificate.
• 1 year of military service with honorable discharge DD-214.
• Graduation from an accredited Criminal Justice Degree Program (associate or bachelor level).
• Associate's degree or higher in any field, with 1 year of security-related experience.
