SECURITY OFFICER

About the position

The Security Officer at Hyatt is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of hotel guests and employees. This role involves following safety standards, completing incident reports, and responding to emergencies. The position requires a proactive approach to maintaining a secure environment while providing exceptional service to guests.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the safety of all guests and employees.
• Protect guests, employees, hotel, and building property.
• Patrol assigned areas throughout the hotel and other areas of the property.
• Check the functioning of safety/security equipment such as door locks and fire extinguishers.
• Investigate allegations of property loss, theft, injury, or complaints.
• Respond to requests for assistance from guests or employees.
• Administer preliminary first aid/CPR/AED as needed.
• Log incidents/accidents using the Security computer system and compose incident reports.
• Communicate issues to the Director of Security and Security Supervisor.
• Monitor CCTV alarms and maintain key control in the control room.
• Conduct monthly and weekly inspections and drills.

Requirements

• 3 - 5 years' experience in Hotel or High Rise buildings.
• CPR/AED Certification.
• First Aid Certification.
• Fire Life Safety Director's Certificate of Fitness issued by the Fire Department of New York.
• NYS Security Guard License.
• Guest service orientation.

Nice-to-haves

• TIPS trained.
• Experience at a Luxury brand/property working in high-end brands.
