About the position

The Security Officer at OKANA Resort is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of guests and associates through constant patrols and adherence to safety protocols. This role involves daily operations, incident reporting, and emergency response, contributing to a secure and welcoming environment in a dynamic hospitality setting.

Responsibilities

• Make constant patrols of the resort to ensure safety and security.
• Respond to all safety and security related concerns.
• Enforce safety and security procedures in accordance with hotel guidelines.
• Log daily inspections and prepare accurate incident reports.
• Conduct investigations and follow-up on incidents.
• Familiarize with emergency procedures and take a leading role during emergencies.
• Ensure policies and procedures are enforced.
• Maintain key control and ensure energy efficiency of property/facilities.
• Report unusual observations to management in a timely manner.
• Protect guests and employees from harm and prevent theft or destruction of property.
• Report all unsafe conditions immediately.
• Write shift reports and security incident reports.
• Process and log lost and found articles.
• Confront guests and employees involved in unsafe or illegal acts.
• Investigate and handle complaints, incidents, accidents, and emergencies.
• Monitor equipment and perform life-saving functions as required.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 2+ years of experience in the security field, preferably in the hospitality industry.
• Relevant certifications, including CPR and Life Safety.
• Fluent in English with the ability to write reports and interact with guests and associates.
• Computer proficiency in using security software.
