Security Officer

About the position

The Security Officer is responsible for protecting the company's assets through access control and monitoring. This role requires working various shifts, including weekends and holidays, and involves performing patrols, monitoring CCTV, and responding to emergencies. The officer must maintain a professional image and comply with departmental regulations.

Responsibilities

• Monitors CCTV equipment.
• Monitors and responds to radio channels.
• Finds and documents security, fire, and safety violations.
• Provides emergency support including CPR and first aid.
• Performs patrol rounds, requiring walking for long periods of time.
• Stands in confined areas for long periods of time.
• Disarms and arms security systems.
• Unlocks and locks secured areas as needed.
• Maintains confidentiality at all times.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Must be 21 years of age.
• Must qualify to drive company vehicles with a clean driving record.
• Good people interaction skills with diverse groups.
• Sound judgment in emergency situations.
• On time and dependable with adequate report writing ability.
• Ability to read, interpret, and apply security and emergency procedures without close supervision.
