About the position
The Security Officer at Mullen Automotive, Inc. plays a vital role in ensuring the safety and security of the company's facilities, assets, and personnel. This position involves monitoring activities on-site, responding to emergencies, and enforcing security protocols to maintain a safe working environment. The Security Officer will contribute to the overall safety culture of the organization and will be responsible for preventing and detecting unauthorized activities, as well as collaborating with various departments and local law enforcement as needed.
Responsibilities
- Monitor surveillance equipment and conduct regular inspections of the premises to ensure security and safety.
- Respond promptly to alarms and incidents, including fire, theft, and other emergencies, conducting investigations as needed.
- Enforce rules and regulations to maintain order and control access to restricted areas according to company policies.
- Prepare and submit detailed reports of incidents, observations, and actions taken during your shift to management.
- Assist in the training of new security personnel, ensuring they are familiar with safety protocols and emergency procedures.
- Report any security or safety incidents or suspicious activities to the appropriate supervisor or authorities.
- Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services as required, providing support during security breaches or emergencies.
- Conduct periodic safety drills and simulations to prepare staff for potential emergency situations.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional security training or certifications are a plus.
- Proven experience as a security officer or in a similar role, preferably in the automotive industry.
- Ability to remain calm and make quick decisions in emergencies or high-pressure situations.
- Excellent observational skills and attention to detail to identify potential security threats.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for reporting incidents and collaborating with team members.
- Proficient in using security systems, including alarm systems and surveillance cameras.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
