The officer will patrol the premises to identify and address illegal and unusual situations, safeguarding the company's assets and maintaining a secure environment. This role requires vigilance and the ability to respond promptly to various incidents, including complaints, medical emergencies, and assistance calls. The officer will also be tasked with escorting money and chip credits, performing table and Bill Validator drops, and investigating any unusual occurrences, documenting them accurately for reporting purposes. Detaining individuals involved in illegal activities and notifying law enforcement is a critical aspect of this position, as is checking IDs to prevent underage gambling. In addition to primary responsibilities, the Security Officer will also engage in secondary duties such as managing the distribution of cards and dice within the casino, handling lost and found items, and working in the Lost Guest Booth and Security Dispatch as needed. The role demands excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, as the officer must prepare detailed reports and interact effectively with patrons and staff. Training in CPR, First Aid, and Blood Borne Pathogen certification is required, along with SMART alcohol awareness training. The position may involve exposure to various health and safety hazards, and the officer must be prepared to lift up to 40 lbs and stand or walk for extended periods. Flexibility in working hours and shifts is essential, as the role may require working at different times, including nights and weekends.
