About the position

The Security Officer at Greenleaf Therapeutics plays a crucial role in maintaining a secure and compliant workplace within the cannabis industry. This entry-level position involves supporting the Security Manager and Lead in executing security duties, ensuring the safety of the facility, and assisting with the delivery and intake of orders. The role requires flexibility and adaptability to meet the fluctuating demands of the job.

Responsibilities

• Execute assigned daily duties ensuring that security shift minimums and standards are met each day
• Maintain a secure compliant workplace that aligns with the company's culture
• Carry a professional bearing and communicate clearly with internal and external staff
• Execute all lawful orders from direct leadership to ensure the security mission is upheld
• Verify and check in all guests and vendors according to protocol
• Support deliveries and coordinate with Inventory Control Coordinator and Directors
• Load delivery vehicles and assist Security Lead in executing delivery routes
• Ensure facility staff comply with emergency drills and procedures per SOPs
• Assist in audits to maintain security equipment and facility standards
• Complete training on delivery protocols and METRC Manifest fundamentals
• Monitor and review CCTV footage with the Director of Security
• Liaise with local law enforcement as needed
• Assist in investigations of accidents, theft, and unlawful activities
• Provide strong customer service during deliveries
• Understand and interpret METRC delivery manifest components
• Support training of staff on emergency drills and procedures

Requirements

• Preferred 2 years of experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field
• Accountable, responsible, and honest individual who is punctual and professional
• Technologically adept with the ability to navigate multiple systems including Excel, Google suite, and security systems (Genetec preferred)
• Ability to work effectively as a team member and independently as needed
• Clear communication skills with the ability to remain calm in high-stress situations
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and reliability
