GovCIO is currently seeking a Security Onboarding Specialist to support clearance accessibility for the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). This fully remote position allows you to work from anywhere in the United States, with core operational hours from 8 AM to 5 PM ET. The role is crucial in ensuring that new hires are properly onboarded and have the necessary access to IRS information once cleared. As a Security Onboarding Specialist, you will coordinate with various business and technology teams to gather and initiate the required information for background checks, ensuring that all data submitted is accurate and complete. In this position, you will interact with personnel to collect onboarding documents and assist them in submitting accurate documentation. You will utilize tools such as Dropbox, Airtable, and SharePoint to manage onboarding requests, monitor the establishment of network accounts, and request government-furnished equipment (GFE) and Personal Identity Verification (PIV) cards. Additionally, you will work closely with your teammates to track the status of onboarding and offboarding processes, including cumulative personnel counts and GFE issuance. Your responsibilities will also include creating onboarding checklists for new employees, conducting orientation presentations, and submitting offboarding requests in accordance with IRS policies. You will support IRS operations by delivering communications regarding operational topics, maintaining databases, and assisting in defining onboarding metrics to enhance workflow efficiency. The role requires a methodical approach to tasks, extreme attention to detail, and the ability to analyze and improve processes related to onboarding and offboarding workflows.
