GovCIO is currently seeking a Security Onboarding Specialist to facilitate clearance accessibility for the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). This fully remote position is designed for individuals who can effectively coordinate with various business and technology teams to gather necessary information from new hires, ensuring that background checks for IRS access are initiated promptly once clearance is obtained. The role requires a comprehensive understanding of computer operations, processes, and workflows, as well as the ability to provide functional expertise in identifying, evaluating, and submitting accurate data. In this position, the Security Onboarding Specialist will interact with personnel to solicit onboarding documents and ensure that accurate submissions are made. The specialist will utilize tools such as Dropbox, Airtable, and SharePoint to monitor the establishment of network accounts and request government-furnished equipment (GFE) and Personal Identity Verification (PIV) cards. Collaboration with teammates is essential to track onboarding adjudication status, network account requests, and PIV status, while also escalating any risk issues to the appropriate contacts. The role also involves tracking and reporting the status of onboarding and offboarding processes, including cumulative personnel counts, GFE issue counts, and PIV card statuses on a recurring basis. The specialist will create onboarding checklists for new employees and conduct orientation presentations. Additionally, the position requires submitting offboarding requests or relocations in accordance with IRS policies and supporting IRS operations by delivering communications regarding operational topics such as timesheets and holiday announcements. The Security Onboarding Specialist will also be responsible for archiving processes for all contract deliverables and supporting ad hoc requests related to contract operations analysis and reporting. Developing concise presentations and visualizations using PowerPoint, managing databases, and implementing onboarding metrics are also key responsibilities. The specialist will document service requirements for process improvements to enhance the onboarding and offboarding workflow, ensuring a smooth transition for new hires and departing employees.
