About the position

The Security Operations Center Analyst (SOCA) plays a crucial role in monitoring and managing client data and networks within a 24/7 Security Operations Center (SOC). This position involves constant vigilance against cyber incidents and system issues, utilizing security monitoring tools to ensure the protection of client data.

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze vulnerability assessments
• Review and analyze log correlation and SIEM events and alarms
• Create and escalate tickets
• Review system changes for policy and procedure compliance
• Participate in Incident Response team activities
• Monitor and protect client data across the system boundary
• Manage and configure security monitoring tools

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
• 0-2 years of experience in cybersecurity practices
• CompTIA Security+ certification (required within 6 months of hire)
• System administration skills with Linux and Windows
• Basic programming skills in Python, Ruby, PHP, C, Java, or Perl

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Cisco systems
