About the position

The Security Operations Center Analyst (Loss Prevention) at Foot Locker is a part-time position based in New York City, specifically within the company's physical Security Operations/Command Centers (SOC). This role is crucial as it serves as the communication and situational awareness hub for Foot Locker's physical security and loss prevention operations, which operate 24/7. It is important to note that this position is not related to cyber security. The analyst will report directly to the Sr. Manager of Security and will interact with team members across various levels of the organization. The primary responsibility of the Security Operations Center Analyst is to monitor internal alarms. This includes monitoring, researching, reviewing, and analyzing physical security data sources to ensure compliance with standard operating procedures in a timely manner. The role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while supporting security needs throughout the facilities. The shifts available for this position are Saturday and Sunday overnight from 12 am to 8 am. In addition to alarm monitoring, the analyst will be responsible for configuring and administering technical physical security systems, such as access control and alarm/video monitoring platforms. The role also involves reviewing incident-based video footage, downloading it for storage, and distributing it to relevant stakeholders as necessary. During major incidents, the analyst must provide appropriate escalation and prepare clear and concise communications to security and business leadership, as well as other partners.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor intrusion alarm system and video verify alarm triggers, notifying law enforcement and stakeholders as needed.
  • Review incident-based video, download to storage, and distribute to stakeholders as needed.
  • Provide appropriate escalation and prepare clear and concise communications to security and business leadership during major incidents.
  • Work independently with little direct supervision when required.
  • Configure and administer technical physical security systems such as access control and alarm/video monitoring platforms.

Requirements

  • Physical Security Operations Center experience is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of security equipment including CCTV, alarm systems, and access control is required.
  • Alarm monitoring experience is a plus.
  • Experience utilizing C-Cure 9000 and Genetec camera systems is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to be flexible and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, specifically Outlook, Word, and Excel is required.
  • Reliability, punctuality, and dependability are essential, with the ability to work various schedules including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Benefits

  • Salary range of $18 - $20 per hour, determined by education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant.
