About the position

As an SOC (Security Operations Center) Operations Analyst, you will play a critical role in supporting security operations by assessing threats and monitoring activities in real-time. Reporting to the SOC Manager, you will be part of a dynamic team responsible for responding to security incidents, gathering intelligence, and developing reports for upper management. This position is ideal for individuals interested in security and incident responsiveness, who possess strong communication skills and critical thinking abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Operations Managers in executing security procedures and responses at all posts.
  • Ensure effective response to emergency and non-emergency situations, and timely completion of reports as directed by the SOC Manager.
  • Utilize various systems software, security, and communications equipment.
  • Notify and communicate with Operations Managers and senior personnel to maintain a common operating picture.
  • Monitor security applications and triage alerts, escalating issues as appropriate.
  • Investigate and resolve incidents to contain and remove security threats quickly and safely.
  • Develop cases using threat intelligence information and lessons learned from incidents and alerts.
  • Understand operational KPIs and utilize data to assist the SOC Manager in driving operations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED (preferred).
  • 1 year of experience in a center/security dispatch environment (preferred).
  • Understanding of security operations & FEMA ICS/Watch officer training (a plus).
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Demonstrated interest in security and law enforcement work (preferred).
  • Technologically savvy with experience in MS Office Suite.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Customer service orientation (a plus).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful environment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Honorable military discharge or AA degree (preferred).
  • Comfortable in a corporate environment and effectively communicate with Senior Management.
  • Dependable team player with maturity and a positive attitude.
