About the position

The Security Operations Center Officer role at Allied Universal involves overseeing security operations at a corporate building in Lower Manhattan. This full-time position requires flexibility in work shifts, primarily during the evening and overnight hours. The officer will be responsible for ensuring safety and security, providing excellent customer service, and responding to incidents effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by implementing safety and security procedures and site-specific policies.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and with problem-solving skills.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and its perimeter.
  • Monitor closed circuit television systems and alarms.
  • Operate facility computer systems regularly as assigned.
  • Handle security issues or emergency situations appropriately.
  • Contact emergency services such as EMT or Fire Department when necessary.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of security experience.
  • Ability to walk/stand for long periods of time.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
  • Subject to a background investigation in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.
  • Must pass a drug screen as permitted by law.
