About the position

The Security Operations Manager at Sunstates Security is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a portfolio of contract sites in the Raleigh, NC region. This role involves managing personnel, ensuring customer satisfaction, and maintaining security and safety standards in alignment with company objectives. The position requires strong leadership skills and the ability to develop relationships with both employees and clients.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations of contract sites including customer service and personnel management.
• Train, develop, and motivate supervisory staff to oversee site security personnel effectively.
• Supervise Site Managers and Site Supervisors.
• Oversee the employee onboarding process including interviewing, training, and paperwork.
• Train subordinate supervisors on software systems and company policies.
• Coordinate operational functions including payroll, billing, staffing, and scheduling.
• Conduct site visits and audits as part of the Quality Assurance program.
• Work with the Regional Manager to establish and communicate regional goals and objectives.
• Collaborate with sales and marketing to identify new business opportunities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university is preferred.
• 5 or more years of management and leadership experience in the security industry, law enforcement, or military.
• Excellent organizational, leadership, communication, and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently with strong portfolio management skills.
• Computer proficiency with MS Office products.
• Valid driver's license and good driving record.
• Ability to travel and visit site locations regularly in the Raleigh/Durham/Chapel Hill area.
• Flexibility to be on call as needed during all shifts.
