About the position

The Security Operations Manager at Nation Security is responsible for overseeing and managing security operations in the Tampa area. This role involves ensuring the safety and security of clients, personnel, and assets while maintaining high standards of service and professionalism. The manager will develop strategic plans, manage a team of security professionals, collaborate with clients, and implement security protocols.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize security operations in the North Florida region.
  • Manage a team of security professionals, including hiring, training, performance evaluations, and mentoring.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their specific security needs and tailor solutions accordingly.
  • Maintain a strong working relationship with local law enforcement agencies, emergency responders, and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Monitor and assess security risks, and implement effective risk mitigation strategies.
  • Oversee the implementation of security protocols and procedures, ensuring compliance at all times.
  • Provide timely and accurate reporting to senior management on security operations, incidents, and trends.
  • Stay updated on industry best practices and technological advancements to continuously improve our services.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Security Management, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in private security, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities, with a customer-centric approach.
  • In-depth knowledge of security principles, protocols, and best practices.
  • Proficiency in using security-related technologies and software.
  • Possession of relevant security certifications (e.g., CPP, PSP) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with the regulatory environment and local laws governing security operations in Florida.
