About the position

The Security Operations Manager at Allied Consulting & Security Services is responsible for overseeing the staffing, scheduling, and training of Security Professionals at assigned client sites. This role involves maintaining communication with staff and clients, managing employee performance, and ensuring operational efficiency through effective scheduling and hiring practices. The manager also addresses employee issues, conducts disciplinary actions, and ensures compliance with company policies.

Responsibilities

  • Staffing, scheduling, and training Security Professionals at assigned client sites.
  • Maintaining regular communication with Security Professionals and clientele to resolve issues.
  • Managing overtime and making timely hiring decisions.
  • Conducting interviews and hiring qualified applicants for open positions.
  • Evaluating low-performing employees for potential replacement or transfer.
  • Maintaining and publishing a weekly Open Post List and managing job openings.
  • Conducting disciplinary and counseling sessions with Security Professionals as needed.
  • Documenting all employee issues according to company standards and ensuring proper follow-up.
  • Initiating termination procedures for voluntary and involuntary separations.
  • Ensuring effective utilization and training of staff for placement as needed.
  • Maintaining high employee morale and low turnover through proactive communication.
  • Enforcing post-specific policies and procedures through communication and training.
  • Preparing and running required reports and addressing discrepancies or operational issues.

Requirements

  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 3 - 5 years of professional-level experience managing employees in a service organization.
  • Prior experience in the security industry, law enforcement, military, or customer service is highly desired.
  • Experience in scheduling, operations, and employee management in a service-related industry is a significant plus.
  • Ability to secure a valid Guard License and possess a current state driver's license.
  • Ability to write effective and concise reports and document investigations and counseling sessions.
  • Demonstrated customer service orientation and ability to interact with all organizational levels.
  • Ability to de-escalate situations before they become hostile or unpleasant.
  • Energetic and focused personality with the ability to prioritize multiple assignments and manage deadlines.
  • High level of integrity and ability to apply rules and policies consistently.

Nice-to-haves

  • College degree or coursework in a related field is desirable.
  • Experience in property management or a related field is preferred.
