About the position

The Security Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all security operations and programs, ensuring high-quality customer service, compliance with regulations, and effective staff management. This role involves regular interaction with clients, recruitment and training of staff, and maintaining a positive work environment while managing operational efficiency and labor costs.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures the delivery of high quality customer service through regular contact with clients
  • Manages and coordinates all security operations and programs
  • Partners with client location to ensure proper utilization and execution of security programs
  • Recruits, selects, orients, trains, and develops staff in collaboration with Corporate Human Resources
  • Plans, assigns and directs work, coaching employees to enhance skills and carries out disciplinary action as necessary
  • Builds relationships with staff, maintaining a positive, professional work environment in compliance with applicable laws and regulations
  • Ensures compliance with general and specific post orders, including necessary segment training
  • Responds in a timely manner to events, issues, staffing deficiencies, and client requests
  • Ensures scheduling is handled effectively to meet client requirements while controlling labor costs
  • Maintains up-to-date and accurate timekeeping systems and records
  • Ensures employees are provided with the necessary equipment and uniforms and controls inventory
  • Performs additional functions, duties, and specific tasks necessary to achieve assigned business objectives

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience in the security industry
  • Knowledge of security operations
  • Knowledge of business operations management and human resources administration
  • Use of personal computer and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong customer service and service delivery orientation
