About the position

The Security Operations Manager at GardaWorld is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day security operations for clients, ensuring high service standards, and maintaining effective relationships with clients and staff. This role involves managing security personnel, compliance with regulations, and responding to critical situations, all while fostering a culture of safety and professionalism.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise the day-to-day service provided to the client and ensure service is of the highest standard.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with clients and employees, serving as the liaison between GardaWorld, clients, and assigned staff.
  • Meet regularly with clients to address problems, provide status updates, communicate needs, and ensure satisfaction.
  • Manage 24/7 Security Operations of the site.
  • Coach, mentor, and train all assigned staff members.
  • Interview, hire, and onboard new staff members.
  • Ensure and enforce that all staff are following SOPs and meeting/exceeding standards.
  • Regularly audit security procedures and test security awareness and responses.
  • Manage a tiered disciplinary process.
  • Manage and issue equipment/uniforms.
  • Cover shifts as needed to fulfill contract requirements.
  • Ensure 100% payroll and billing accuracy.
  • Ensure 100% compliance with federal, state, and local regulations in assigned accounts.
  • Respond quickly to critical situations.
  • Ability to read and write detailed reports.
  • Manage fleet maintenance.

Requirements

  • At least 21 years of age or older as required by applicable law or contractual requirements.
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug test.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Proven experience as a security manager or similar position (Former Military, Law Enforcement preferred).
  • Experience using relevant technology and equipment (e.g., CCTV).
  • Experience in reporting and emergency response planning.
  • Excellent knowledge of security protocols and procedures.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Outstanding organizational and leadership skills.
  • Committed and reliable.
  • Possess at least an associate's degree or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years progressive management experience.
