In this role, the Security Operations Specialist will be tasked with creating a comprehensive asset security program that aligns with the company's overall risk management strategy. This includes conducting thorough risk assessments and vulnerability analyses to identify potential threats and weaknesses within the organization. The specialist will also be responsible for developing and implementing security policies, procedures, and standards that govern the security operations of the company. The position involves managing various security systems, such as access control, surveillance, and intrusion detection systems. The specialist will respond to security incidents and emergencies, investigate breaches, and implement corrective measures to prevent future occurrences. Ensuring the physical security of the manufacturing facility is a key responsibility, which includes overseeing perimeter security, building access control, and equipment protection. The specialist will also coordinate with local law enforcement agencies and other security providers to enhance the security posture of the organization. Promoting a safe and secure working environment is essential, and the specialist will develop and implement emergency preparedness plans, conduct safety training, and organize drills to ensure all employees are well-prepared for any potential incidents. Additionally, the role requires ensuring compliance with all relevant safety and security regulations, including OSHA, EPA, and local laws, through regular audits and assessments to identify and address compliance gaps.

Requirements

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Certification in security management (e.g., CPP, PSP) preferred.
