As a key member of the Security team, the Security Operations Specialist will play a crucial role in managing and maintaining security systems and coordinating with suppliers to ensure the effective operation of our security infrastructure. This position focuses on equipment procurement, technical support, and ensuring that the technology used is up-to-date. The specialist will be responsible for working with security suppliers to purchase or order security equipment such as cameras, alarms, access control systems, and other hardware required for installations or upgrades. Additionally, they will facilitate repairs or servicing for security equipment and systems, ensuring that everything functions correctly and that any issues are promptly addressed. The role involves managing relationships with suppliers, negotiating pricing, and ensuring that supplies are delivered on time and meet quality standards. The Security Operations Specialist will monitor supplier performance to ensure that security services provided by third-party suppliers meet contractual and performance standards. The specialist will also perform site assessments to check for potential security risks, such as physical weaknesses, procedural lapses, or technology gaps. Maintaining accurate records of issued security badges is another critical responsibility, along with regularly auditing the badging system to ensure that access levels are appropriate and that there are no unauthorized badges in circulation. The specialist will track badge usage to monitor access to different areas and detect any unusual activity.
