About the position

The Security Operations Specialist at Crisis24 is responsible for providing general and emergency assistance to a global client base, utilizing established operational protocols. This role is designed for individuals looking to start a career in security and risk management, offering opportunities to develop valuable skills in a dynamic operational environment. The position requires the ability to work effectively under pressure and as part of a global team, ensuring the safety and well-being of clients in various locations.

Responsibilities

  • Support the research and assessment of a threat environment for proposed task/travel.
  • Support the research and delivery of pre-travel briefings and presentations to various travelers.
  • Monitor requests and supply content to global travel security requests from deployed personnel and clients.
  • Oversee security situations in client locations and conduct regular checks on personnel well-being.
  • Develop and support security response contingency planning.
  • Utilize tracking platforms to monitor events and action at risk notifications.
  • Respond to Special Risk calls, gathering key information and escalating internally.
  • Support the coordination and communication of security, evacuation, and emergency tasks.
  • Maintain and develop post operational reports for internal and external purposes.
  • Train and adhere to Crisis24 security and response standard operating procedures.
  • Provide day-to-day support and guidance to new front-line staff and Security Specialists.
  • Strive to deliver the highest standards of service to customers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in international studies, development, or a related field; or 4 years of direct experience in emergency/crisis response or military response centers.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information accurately.
  • Native/Fluent English and/or French/German language skills are a plus.
  • Strong team player with the ability to handle additional responsibilities calmly and professionally.
  • Highly competent in leading teams and briefing senior management.
  • Exemplary management, organizational, and administrative skills with attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to research, digest, and evaluate various sources of information.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in psychological first aid is a plus.
  • Additional language skills (verbal and written) are an advantage.
