The Security Program Information Administrator (SPIADM) position is located within the DS/IP/OPO and is crucial for providing assistance in the management of Worldwide Protection Services, Local Guard, Bodyguard, and Surveillance Detection program information. The SPIADM will be responsible for the collection, storage, validation, and dissemination of information related to these programs. This role requires a commitment to travel, with an expectation of 25% overseas travel, which is essential for the successful execution of the responsibilities associated with this position. The SPIADM will play a key role in managing a collaborative Federal Cloud-based platform that enables Regional Directors and Regional Security Offices to share vital information regarding Diplomatic Security operations globally. This position involves working closely with Security Program Officers, Financial Management Officers, and Security Program Analysts to ensure that information management practices are effective and provide accurate program-related information to DS/IP/OPO personnel and management. In addition to managing information practices, the SPIADM will continually review and evaluate these practices, generating ad hoc reports using office information management systems, including Oracle Reports and Discoverer. The SPIADM will also be responsible for developing training curricula related to information management and serving as a liaison between non-technical personnel and application developers. This role requires the identification of necessary actions to ensure the proper flow of security program information and the establishment of procedures for the use of DS security program applications. The SPIADM must possess a strong understanding of software engineering across the complete software development lifecycle and be able to analyze data for significant trends and patterns. This position also involves working with SPOs to develop and update information reporting and formatting procedures to optimize the performance of the SD Database system. The SPIADM will be expected to have strong problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate effectively with upper management regarding proposed solutions.
