About The Position

The Security Project Manager oversees the planning, implementation, and management of the security systems platform with a strong emphasis on projects under construction. The candidate must possess in-depth knowledge of security industry standards and experience coordinating these practices with contractors, architects, and other project managers in the design phase. This role also ensures that state-of-the-art technologies are integrated into the security profile of on-going construction projects, which include corporate, data center, and high-security facilities.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in Security Management, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is strongly preferred.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience in security systems design and/or installation, physical security, or construction security management.
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, security technology, and infrastructure protection principles.
  • Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, Autodesk, etc.
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite, with a strong emphasis on Excel.
  • Familiarity with electronic security system design (video surveillance, access control, alarms, perimeter detection systems).
  • Detail-oriented with a proactive security mindset.

Nice To Haves

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or other security design software is a plus.
  • One or more of the following certifications are highly desirable: Certified Protection Professional (CPP) – ASIS International, Physical Security Professional (PSP) – ASIS International.

Responsibilities

  • Review architectural drawings to ensure interior floor plans and vehicular traffic flows align with established security standards.
  • Review camera, access control system (ACS), and intrusion detection drawings in a quality control capacity.
  • Collaborate with Core Scientific’s Site Development group and the larger design team when introducing design recommendations.
  • Update the security Basis of Design as necessary.
  • Ensure strict adherence to industry regulations, building codes, and company security policies.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal construction security regulations.
  • Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to meet specific industry standards (e.g., NIST, ANSI, ISO 27001, SOC 2).
  • Partner with Core Scientific’s Electronic Security System (ESS) Infrastructure Designer, external security consultants, architects, and general contractors to seamlessly integrate security design standards into all project phases.
  • Participate in RFI and Submittal processes.
  • Conduct audits of system installations and participate in the commissioning of end-state security platforms.
  • Collaborate with vendors involved in security infrastructure installations encompassing visitor management, key control, and radio communication systems.
  • Oversee the installation of temporary and permanent security measures at construction sites.
  • Provide recommendations for security infrastructure improvements and budget planning.
  • Present detailed security reports and project updates to management and key stakeholders.
  • Maintain, review, and update ACS, visitor management and key control policies as needed.
  • Foster open, respectful, and professional communication within the immediate team, with cross-functional colleagues, and with leadership across the organization.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
