The Security Risk & Compliance Analyst III - Cyber role at Western Alliance Bank focuses on assessing third-party security risks and ensuring compliance with information security regulations. The position requires a detail-oriented professional to evaluate vendor documentation, identify security gaps, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to align with regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and a solid understanding of information security frameworks, particularly in the financial services sector.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive reviews of vendor submitted material including SOC reports, certifications, policies, and procedures to assess compliance with WAB's information security requirements.
- Identify and document information security gaps in vendor documentation and request additional documentation through the vendor management process.
- Lead conversations with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with regulatory standards and best practices, suggesting remediation for gaps in cybersecurity.
- Report on vendor security reviews, including volume and status.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in information systems or a related field, or relevant experience.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience conducting vendor security assessments or risk consulting.
- Practical experience with information security frameworks such as ISO 27001/2, NIST CSF, NIST SP 800-53, SIG, FFIEC CAT.
- Excellent analytical skills to interpret complex information security documentation.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proven technical writing and communication skills.
Nice-to-haves
- Industry certifications such as CISA, CRISC, CISM, GCP, Azure are preferred but not required.
- Consulting experience is preferred but not required.
