About the position

The Security Sales Engineer at TEKsystems is responsible for estimating, designing, engineering, and configuring a comprehensive range of commercial electronic security systems, primarily focusing on IP network systems. This role involves working on new construction projects as well as modifications to existing security systems, ensuring that the best products and solutions are recommended for each project.

Responsibilities

• Estimate, design, engineer, and configure enterprise security systems with minimal supervision.
• Provide system knowledge of access control, IP video surveillance, intrusion, and visitor management.
• Advise sales and project team members on the best products and solutions for each project.
• Create or review formal documentation such as schematics and technical literature to support each project.
• Configure estimates and quotes for each project using Fieldwire and internal web-based software.
• Respond to customer requests for information, including completing RFI or RFP.

Requirements

• Experience in estimating, designing, engineering, and configuring commercial electronic security systems.
• Knowledge of access control, IP video surveillance, intrusion, and visitor management systems.
• Proficiency in using AutoCAD and Bluebeam for design purposes.
• Strong skills in Microsoft Office and project management.
