About the position

The Security Screener position at AdventHealth Palm Coast involves performing customer service and safety screening duties to ensure the safety and security of the facility. The role requires positive interaction with the public, patients, employees, and administrators while utilizing a weapons detection system to screen individuals entering the facility. The position is part-time, primarily during night shifts on weekends, and emphasizes the importance of customer service and adherence to safety protocols.

Responsibilities

  • Perform customer service and safety screening duties at entrance points.
  • Utilize the weapons detection system to screen individuals entering the facility.
  • Facilitate the proper disposition of any found weapons.
  • Validate individuals' business at the facility and issue visitor passes as needed.
  • Maintain respectful relationships with all community members and provide outstanding customer service.

Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent.
  • Customer service management experience (preferred).
  • Previous experience utilizing weapons detection equipment (preferred).
  • Fully bi-lingual in English and Spanish, or other languages such as Portuguese, Creole, Vietnamese, French, German, Russian, Arabic, and Korean (preferred).
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
