About the position

The Security Service Technician role at Convergint involves servicing and supporting existing customers by responding to service calls, executing Customer Support Programs, and managing small projects. This position is integral to a dynamic team focused on customer satisfaction and technical excellence, requiring advanced skills in fire alarm and electronic security systems, as well as strong troubleshooting abilities.

Responsibilities

• Respond to routine and non-routine customer service calls, including emergency and after-hours service calls.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and replace defective parts in security systems.
• Install projects as necessary and complete accurate service reports for invoicing and job cost tracking.
• Utilize solid troubleshooting skills to isolate and fix problems in malfunctioning equipment or software.
• Carry out Customer Support Programs and manage small projects.

Requirements

• 3-7 years of experience in a related field or trade school equivalent.
• Advanced technical skills related to fire alarm systems and electronic security systems.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot problems and seek solutions.
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Highly proficient in computer skills, including MS Office applications.

Nice-to-haves

• Relevant field service experience.
• Experience with CCTV systems such as Avigilon, Milestone, Genetec.
• Access Control experience with AMAG, Lenel, Genetec, Software House - CCURE, S2, RS2, Avigilon.
• Intrusion experience with DMP or Bosch.
