About the position

The Security Software Engineer will play a crucial role in advancing Netflix's engineering security controls automation efforts. This position focuses on reducing software vulnerabilities through an engineering-first approach, collaborating with various teams to design and deliver impactful software solutions that address security risks effectively.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver software solutions to resolve security risks at scale.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with teams across Netflix Security Engineering and Platform Engineering.
• Understand the ecosystem and internal customer needs to drive impactful security changes.
• Provide actionable guidance to reduce security risks meaningfully.

Requirements

• Strong experience in Python software development; experience with PySpark is a plus.
• Ability to create thoughtful end-to-end solutions.
• Customer-focused with attention to developer experience and security risk reduction.
• Experience in data wrangling and deriving insights from data.
• Familiarity with overall system design and architecture.
