About the position

The Security Solutions Engineer, Associate role within the Identity and Access Management (IAM) business unit at Goldman Sachs focuses on implementing tools to enhance security measures against threats. This position requires expertise in IAM platforms and an understanding of how business applications integrate with these solutions. The role emphasizes risk identification, solution design, and implementation, contributing to the overall security posture of the firm.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in design, build out, and maintenance of a distributed, multi-region, scalable, resilient datastore containing input from multiple inventory and security scan systems.
  • Evaluate and integrate threat data providers into authentication and authorization systems.
  • Explore new and emerging technologies as needed by the project.
  • Interact with other engineering teams to understand technology offerings and how they can be applied and leveraged as part of our solutions.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of hands-on Java development experience with a solid grasp of Java development and testing best practices.
  • Strong technical skills and analytical mindset with a creative approach to solving technical problems.
  • Experience with building and consuming RESTful web services.
  • Team player, eager to work in a global organization.
  • Commercially focused; seeks to understand the requirements and how they will benefit clients, stakeholders, and business.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science.
  • Experience with designing and building high-throughput, scalable, resilient systems.
  • Experience with or knowledge of distributed NoSQL data stores such as MongoDB or ElasticSearch.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
