About the position

The Event Security Staff at Atlanta Motor Speedway is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of attendees during various events. This seasonal position involves monitoring designated areas, responding to security issues, and maintaining a visible presence to provide a sense of safety. Staff will work under the direction of the Events/Operations Managers and may work only one to two days a month, primarily on weekends and nights.

Responsibilities

• Respond to any security or safety issue that may arise during an event
• Monitor designated work area and parked vehicles to ensure security and deter theft or vandalism
• Report suspicious activity
• Maintain a visible presence to provide event attendees with a sense of safety and security
• Ensure that only authorized individuals are allowed to be in certain locations and monitor access points
• Handle conflicts, defuse tensions, and prevent situations from escalating into violence

Requirements

• Ability to lift 25+ lbs
• Flexible schedule (mostly weekends/nights)
• Positive attitude with a willingness to work as a team
• Professional appearance
• Must have a valid driver's license
• Ability to work outside for extended periods of time (extreme weather conditions included)
• Ability to multi-task and handle stressful situations
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Must be able to stand 8-10 hours
