About the position

The Security Supervisor-Lieutenant at Grace Medical Center is responsible for providing first-line supervisory capabilities within the Security/Courier Services Department. This role involves leading the security team, ensuring safety and security for patients, visitors, and staff, and fulfilling departmental objectives. The supervisor will also take charge in the absence of the Shift Captain, manage reports, and assist with investigations.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-line supervisory capabilities within the Security/Courier Services Department.
• Serve as the supervisor of the shift in the absence of the Shift Captain.
• Submit accurate written reports and document findings of investigations.
• Greet and assist patients, visitors, and employees at entrances and exits.
• Provide effective leadership and guidance for Security Department personnel.

Requirements

• Formal working knowledge equivalent to an Associate's degree (2 years college).
• Minimum of 1 year of experience; 3+ years of experience preferred.
• IAHSS Supervisor Certification preferred or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.
• American Heart Association CPR Certification preferred or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.
• Maryland State Security Officer Certification preferred or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.
• Valid Driver's License with successful clearance to operate vehicles.
