About the position

The Security Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the security department during designated shifts, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations, and maintaining the safety and security of guests and team members. This role involves supervising security personnel, managing incidents, and promoting positive relations within the casino environment. Strong communication skills and a professional appearance are essential for this position.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise all security team members on designated shift.
  • Assume primary security officer responsibility in the absence of the Security Manager.
  • Oversee procedures for protecting company assets.
  • Promote positive customer and team member relations.
  • Maintain security reports, documents, and equipment.
  • Review and correct security incident reports.
  • Provide input for evaluations and disciplinary actions.
  • Accountable for responsible money handling procedures.
  • Act as a Casino greeter and check customer I.D.'s.
  • Maintain daily visitor logs and provide ongoing recognition and motivation for staff.
  • Respond appropriately to facility disaster plans.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree in Criminal Justice or related field or equivalent education and experience.
  • One year of law enforcement or security background required.
  • Minimum of six months of current supervisory experience preferred.
  • Prior experience in a security position or casino environment preferred.
  • Excellent communication and guest relation skills.
  • Ability to learn and follow detailed security policies and procedures.
  • Exceptional report writing skills.
  • Defensive Tactics Training with advanced handcuffing certification preferred.
  • Must obtain and maintain a valid First Aid/CPR/AED certification within 60 days of hire.
  • Must be at least 21 years old and able to obtain a Washington State Class III Gaming License.
