As a Security Engineer within Google Public Sector (GPS), you will play a pivotal role in assisting public sector organizations in navigating their unique security challenges and goals. Your primary responsibility will be to guide these organizations through their cloud journey, ensuring that their Google Cloud environments are secure, compliant, and resilient. You will leverage your expertise to design and implement solutions that address complex customer challenges, developing scalable cloud architectures that optimize infrastructure operations across multi-cloud and hybrid-cloud environments. In this role, you will collaborate closely with customers to develop and harden cloud architectures that align with Google's best practices while meeting specific security requirements. You will also provide expert guidance and support during security incidents, helping customers contain and mitigate threats effectively. Additionally, you will perform security and compliance assessments of customer environments, identifying vulnerabilities and recommending remediation strategies. Partnering with Google's internal security teams and external partners will be essential to leverage their expertise and insights, ensuring a coordinated and effective approach to security.
