About the position

The Brand Ambassador role for Wine, Spirits & Beer in Kansas City, MO, is a part-time contract position focused on promoting adult beverages through in-store sampling events. The position is ideal for individuals who are knowledgeable and passionate about these products, providing an opportunity to earn extra income while engaging with customers. Brand Ambassadors will represent the company, ensuring a first-class customer experience and leveraging their expertise in the beverage industry.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-store alcohol sample events in retail locations.
• Print, review, and study product information prior to entering account.
• Set up tasting station, bringing necessary supplies and tools such as a sample table, ice bucket, and opener.
• Record and recap sales, samples, and other basic items to the online management system.

Requirements

• Valid Driver's License is required.
• TIPS or Off-Premises Responsible Serving® of Alcohol Certification is required.
• Working knowledge of at least one of the three major categories (Wine, Spirits, Beer) is required.
• Professional appearance and demeanor are required.
• Must be outgoing and enjoy selling.

Nice-to-haves

• Professional certifications such as CSW, WSET, Sommelier, or Cicerone are preferred.
• Customer service experience of at least 1 year is preferred.
• Experience as a Brand Ambassador or Demonstrator for at least 1 year is preferred.
• Bartending experience of at least 1 year is preferred.
