About the position

The Recruiter/Talent Acquisition Specialist will play a crucial role in supporting the growth of a top-tier home care agency by attracting, hiring, and onboarding qualified caregivers and nurses. This position involves developing recruiting strategies, maintaining a steady pipeline of talent, and engaging with community organizations and educational institutions to identify potential candidates. The role offers autonomy in recruiting methods and opportunities for professional development.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and coordinate all stages of the hiring process and recruiting strategy.
  • Create and update job descriptions, requirements, and objectives.
  • Research potential hires on resume databases and portfolio sites.
  • Reach out to candidates via phone and email and follow up with regular communication.
  • Build a network of contacts and potential candidates.
  • Place ads and write copy for open positions.
  • Conduct in-person, video, and phone interviews.
  • Attend job fairs and networking events to build a pool of candidates.
  • Track key performance indicators and report on recruiting metrics.
  • Participate in on-call rotations for weekends and nights.

Requirements

  • An associate's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, Communications, or a related field, or related experience.
  • 3+ years as a Recruiter, Hiring Specialist, or related position, or extensive experience in the home care field.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and interact with clients, co-workers, and supervisors.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and persuasion skills.
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks under strict deadlines.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize projects.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the home care industry.
  • Familiarity with recruiting software and tools.
