About the position

Valkyrie Enterprises is seeking a Test Requirements Engineer to support the Missile Defense Agency Systems Engineering Test Requirements organization in Huntsville, AL. The role involves the allocation, prioritization, and implementation of test requirements to facilitate test event planning and execution, ensuring effective capabilities for the Warfighter. The engineer will develop Test Objectives Memoranda for MDA Flight and Ground Test Campaigns, coordinate with various stakeholders, and support the development of the Integrated Master Test Plan.

Responsibilities

  • Support the allocation, prioritization, and implementation of test requirements for Missile Defense System capabilities.
  • Develop Test Objectives Memoranda (TOM) for MDA Flight and Ground Test Campaigns.
  • Lead TOM comment adjudication ahead of the MDA boarding process.
  • Coordinate with MDA internal and external stakeholders on test requirements.
  • Support the MDA Integrated Master Test Plan (IMTP) development and maintenance process.
  • Present TOM summary packages and IMTP related products at the System Engineering Integration Council (SEIC).
  • Review and trace MDA System Level and Element Level requirements and interfaces.
  • Support the Systems Engineering Test Requirements Working Group (SETRWG).
  • Support the Ground Test Engineering Requirements Integrated Product Team (GTERIPT).
  • Review and provide comments to MDA 2-Letter TMT tasks associated with test requirements management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and at least 3 years of experience supporting missile defense programs or related defense programs.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interface with MDA Subject Matter Experts and stakeholders.
  • Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical abilities.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word).
  • Solid foundation in system engineering processes.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a badge-less customer environment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree in a STEM field and 3 years of experience supporting missile defense programs.
  • Experience with DOORS requirements management tool.
