About the position

The Segment Sales Manager at Emerson is responsible for driving orders growth across various markets in the Central region, specifically within the Consumer Goods segment. This role involves actively prospecting and converting leads, acquiring new customers, and collaborating in a matrixed environment. The successful candidate will develop subject matter expertise and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction while expanding the existing customer base.

Responsibilities

  • Independently carry out the startup and commission of Branson Products as a Multi-Product Service Tech (ultrasonics & non-ultrasonics).
  • Drive orders growth within the defined region for the Consumer Goods segment, working alongside the territory sales team.
  • Capture above-market growth with a focus on prospecting, acquiring new customers, and supporting territory sales with segment expertise.
  • Lead prospector for assigned segment - generate, pursue, and convert leads.
  • Manage lead and opportunity funnel for new accounts within the segment, driving the conversion rate.
  • Develop & execute customer seminars, train territory sales teams on segment related initiatives, and stay abreast of segment trends.
  • Maintain existing customer base with a high level of satisfaction and expand potential at current customers.
  • Displace competition at target accounts and grow market participation.
  • Proactively expand application knowledge and share within the team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in business, preferably in a business-to-business sales environment and in the industrial/manufacturing market.
  • Technical knowledge in electrical or mechanical industries.
  • Willing to travel up to 50% of the time (within country and region).

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in medical, electronics, or packaging industries.
  • 5+ years' experience in a business-to-business sales environment within an industrial/manufacturing market.
