About the position

The position involves a variety of responsibilities centered around customer credit applications and financial management. The successful candidate will be tasked with accurately and efficiently processing customer credit applications while maintaining precise customer credit records. Resolving customer credit inquiries in a timely manner is crucial, as is monitoring customer credit accounts and taking appropriate actions to collect delinquent payments. In addition to these responsibilities, the role includes leading daily operations such as preparing and reviewing appropriate ledger entries and reconciliations. The candidate will also maintain the general ledger system and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Assisting with regulatory reporting as applicable is another key aspect of the job. Collaboration with Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) and accounting management is essential to develop relevant and timely reports on financial data analytics. Furthermore, the role involves assisting in the implementation of NetSuite Financials, which includes designing systems and processes, migrating data, testing, training, and administration. Regular review and analysis of balance sheets and income statement accounts owned by the Senior Accountant will also be part of the responsibilities. The candidate will lead and encourage the full accounting team performance during the closing process to ensure deadlines are met.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately and efficiently process customer credit applications
  • Maintain accurate customer credit records
  • Resolve customer credit inquiries in a timely manner
  • Monitor customer credit accounts and take appropriate action to collect delinquent payments
  • Lead daily operations such as preparing and/or reviewing appropriate ledger entries and reconciliations
  • Maintain the general ledger system
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
  • Assist with regulatory reporting as applicable
  • Collaborate with FP&A and accounting management to develop relevant and timely reports on financial data analytics
  • Assist in the implementation of NetSuite Financials, including designing systems and processes, migrating data, testing, training, and administrating
  • Provide regular review and analysis of balance sheets and income statement accounts owned by the Senior Accountant
  • Lead and encourage the full accounting team performance during the closing process to ensure deadlines are met.

Requirements

  • Proficiency with Accounting Software Systems
  • Experience with ADP - Financial Services
  • Familiarity with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning and ERP Solutions
  • Knowledge of Great Plains (GPAC) software
  • Ability to oversee all Accounting Functions
  • Experience with managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
  • Proven track record in Auditing
  • Ability to handle Billing Functions
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to supervise a team
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information.
