About the position

Modis is seeking a skilled Siebel 8 Developer for a one-year contract position in Indianapolis, IN. The role involves utilizing information technology to analyze, design, implement, and maintain complex components of information systems that support business operations. The developer will be responsible for writing source code, adapting existing components, and ensuring the functionality of the systems through rigorous testing and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Develops and unit tests new functionality within Siebel including user interfaces, integration to external systems, XML/XSL, database design, eScript, CTI, web services, SmartScripts, workflows, etc.
• Troubleshoots and repairs existing defects.
• Creates and presents design documents for all enhancements.
• Provides technical support for existing Siebel applications.
• Creates and presents conceptual design for use case reviews.
• Conducts peer code reviews.
• Enters time in time tracking application on a daily basis.

Requirements

• Strong Siebel 8 development background (3+ years) including in-depth experience with Siebel eScript and real-time integration with back-end data systems.
• Relational database background (Oracle preferred).
• BA/BS in computer science or information systems or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
• Excellent analytical, PC and problem-solving skills required.
• Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills required.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Siebel SmartScripts, Siebel Workflow, Siebel Assignment Manager, Siebel Correspondence, Siebel/Genesys CTI, XML/XSLT, Siebel Task-Based UI, Siebel Open UI.
