About the position

The Seibi Technician at Computech Corporation plays a crucial role in the Plastics Production Engineering Department, focusing on the quality development and confirmation of new model plastic shop equipment and processes. This position is essential for ensuring that key performance indicators (KPIs) are met before the hand-over milestone to the North American Manufacturing Centers. The technician will provide hands-on support for equipment development, installation, and trials, while also leading installation activities and assisting in training and documentation efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Provide hands-on support of new model equipment development regarding risk assessment, specification, installation, and trials.
  • Identify equipment problems and implement countermeasures.
  • Lead installation activities related to interior/exterior plastics equipment/processes, robot teaching, trial support, and coordinating trial activities.
  • Assist in specification reviews/vendor trials for new process equipment.
  • Support standardized work development, team member training, and quality control plan documentation.
  • Support engineering, manufacturing activities, and technical reporting.
  • Support equipment commissioning through Kanban process.

Requirements

  • Experience in PLC troubleshooting/programming such as Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi, Toyopuc, etc.
  • Experience in new model launch for automotive and/or manufacturing.
  • Experience in robot teaching such as Denso, Yasakawa, Nachi, Kawasaki, or similar.
  • Experience in automotive manufacturing equipment such as conveyors, robots, assembly work cells, punch machines, milling machines, etc.
  • Technical degree or higher.

Nice-to-haves

  • TUV technician certification
  • OSHA10 certification
  • Minimum of five years automotive experience preferred
  • Passed TBP thru panel TECS Experience (Digital Kanban)
