The Product Marketing Manager for AspenTech's geophysical product portfolio plays a crucial role in driving the go-to-market strategies and tactics for the company's offerings in the Upstream Oil & Gas segment. This global position requires collaboration with customers and cross-functional teams to enhance business success, focusing on growth in usage, revenue, and market share. The role demands a high-energy geoscience professional who can articulate the value of AspenTech's solutions and translate complex technical information into effective marketing content.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the development and execution of go-to-market strategies for geophysical products.
  • Articulate and demonstrate the value of AspenTech's product solutions to various stakeholders.
  • Conduct market and competitive research to inform actionable market strategies.
  • Develop value-based positioning and messaging that differentiates products in the market.
  • Identify best practices through research and customer case studies.
  • Translate technical terminology into comprehensible messaging for marketing campaigns.
  • Create internal and external product content including presentations, brochures, and videos for various marketing channels.
  • Collaborate with Industry Marketing to ensure messaging aligns with industry dynamics.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in geoscience, geophysics, or related technical discipline required.
  • MBA is a plus.
  • 5 - 10 years of experience in the Upstream Oil & Gas segment with demonstrable successes.
  • 5+ years of experience in the full software product marketing spectrum.
  • Experience with seismic processing, imaging, and interpretation software solutions is highly desired.
  • Demonstrated ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.
  • Excellent writing, presentation, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Self-directed, highly motivated, detail-oriented, creative, and innovative.
  • Cultural awareness and experience working with globally distributed virtual teams.
  • Ability and willingness to travel at least 15% (including internationally).
