About the position

The Hardware Architect at Arcarithm plays a crucial role in the Systems Engineering, Integration and Test (SEIT) Resource Management Area (RMA). This position is responsible for leading the design and development of hardware solutions for the Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program, which is integral to the U.S. missile defense system. The architect will collaborate with various engineering teams to ensure the selection and specification of hardware and software across multiple task orders, contributing to the overall mission of optimizing missile defense capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the technical lead for hardware design and development for the C2BMC program.
  • Work with the BOM manager and collaborate with the Architecture Review Board (ARB) and Hardware Site Engineering Control Board (HSECB).
  • Support hardware and software selection and maintain coordination of Bill of Material changes with Task Order Management and Customer Representatives.
  • Ensure specification of common hardware and software for use across all Task Orders.
  • Prepare BOM for proposal pricing and evaluate ongoing hardware and software for EOS/EOL and evolution roadmap planning.

Requirements

  • Expertise in hardware architecture with an advanced degree and 12+ years of experience or a bachelor's degree with 14+ years of experience.
  • Active DoD Secret Security Clearance.
  • Ability to apply advanced concepts, theories, and principles in hardware design.
  • Experience working on complex problems with consultative direction.
  • Ability to interact and advise top management and customers on advanced technical research studies.
  • Previous managerial or leadership experience.
  • Familiarity with hardware, operating systems, and infrastructure, particularly Private on-prem cloud design.
  • Experience in integrated team environments to develop hardware and infrastructure solutions.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in ballistic missile defense or air defense operations.
  • Familiarity with the C2BMC system and missile defense domain.
  • Ability to analyze high-level physical designs and represent them in engineering architectural models.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
