Responsibilities

• Set up food for serving and serve food according to prescribed manner.
• Clean utensils and equipment before, during, and after serving.
• Check completed trays before delivery to patients.
• Perform limited food preparation or final processing of simple salads, desserts, and vegetables.
• Maintain and clean beverage containers and condiment areas.
• Store condiments and leftovers in a sanitary manner.
• Notify proper personnel of any shortages or need for replacements.
• Wash and sanitize dining room tables and chairs, and maintain adequate supply of salt and pepper shakers.
• Set up patient trays and transport food as necessary.
• Maintain proper housekeeping, sanitation, and safety standards in the work area.

Requirements

• Ability to read and write English.
• Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
