About the position

Infosys is seeking a Technical Test Lead with expertise in Selenium Python Automation and API Testing. The role focuses on ensuring high standards of system performance through automated testing, requiring proficiency in both UI and backend testing. The ideal candidate will thrive in a dynamic environment, capable of writing and maintaining automated tests while collaborating closely with development and QA teams.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts using Selenium with Python for web applications.
  • Perform API testing using tools like Postman, Rest-Assured, or similar frameworks.
  • Collaborate closely with development and QA teams to ensure high-quality releases.
  • Maintain and update existing test scripts to align with the latest application changes.
  • Identify, document, and track bugs using bug-tracking tools like Jira or HPQC.
  • Participate in test planning, estimation, and automation strategy discussions.
  • Ensure continuous integration (CI) and continuous delivery (CD) of code by integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, CircleCI).
  • Monitor and report on test automation results and coverage.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution.
  • 4 years of Information Technology experience.
  • 4 years of experience in Selenium Python Automation and API Testing.
  • Experience with Testing strategies and Test Execution.
  • Knowledge and experience with full SDLC lifecycle.
  • Experience with Lean / Agile development methodologies.

Nice-to-haves

  • Proven development experience with Selenium WebDriver and Python in an automation testing environment.
  • Solid understanding of API testing, including hands-on experience with RESTful API testing.
  • Experience in designing and executing manual and automated test cases.
  • Proficiency in using version control tools (e.g., Git).
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
